School Library

Welcome to St Martins library. Our library has a woodland theme from our artificial tree, our grass seating area with foam logs seats and stump bean bags.

The space is divided into an infant school area with lots of picture books and accessible shelving. On the other side for the junior school our titles are arranged by authors surname so that the children may find their favourite books independently.

We are lucky enough to be able to welcome children into the library at lunchtimes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The children can read, draw, play board games or even run their own clubs. Loom bands are very popular at the moment across the junior school.

It's an inclusive, welcoming environment which encourages social contact between year groups.

Your child has regular library sessions each week where they can select a new book of their own choice. If they pick a title that we do not think is appropriate for their age, we will advise that this may not be suitable.

We hold Scholastic book fairs twice a year where you can help to buy new books for the school by buying discounted books from Scholastic.
